The big-hearted team of agents from United Real Estate recently took time to give back to the Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore in Richmond, Virginia. ReStores are nonprofit home improvement stores and donation centers operated by local Habitat for Humanity organizations all across the country. By accepting donations of gently used furniture, building materials, appliances, home accessories, plumbing, wiring materials and other home improvement items, the ReStores divert hundreds of tons of materials that might otherwise end up in a landfill. The donated items are resold at a fraction of the retail cost to the public, and those proceeds are used to help provide stability, self-reliance and building affordable housing in local communities and around the world.
The dedicated agents from United Real Estate spent the day sprucing up the ReStore in Richmond by organizing the building and home improvement supplies. Their efforts will make it easier for customers to find what they’re looking for on the shelves.
The team of agents from United Real Estate chose the ReStore for their day of service to help draw attention to the 2017 Affordable Housing Awareness Week. The great work from these agents demonstrates United Real Estate core values of giving back to the community.
